Monroe and I have always believed that reading is important.  Some of our favorite places to visit are bookstores.  When we built our home, we installed bookshelves that quickly became full of a variety of books ranging from reference books to hunting and fishing books, history books, biographies, biblical commentaries, and classic novels.  Before we had Grace and Clark, we had a bookshelf filled with children's books.  We began reading to our children when they were very little, and they now join us in our love for reading.
